Mark and Wendy. Lavender House Hotel. Dartmoor.

Mark and Wendy got married a few weeks ago in the lovely gardens of the Lavender House Hotel just outside Ashburton close to Dartmoor.

Leading up to the day it was unclear whether the weather would play ball or not as the couple were desperate for an outdoor ceremony.

As it turned out it couldn't have been more perfect, it was a perfect English summers, and the setting felt to me like a cottage garden.

Earlier on I had caught up with Wendy and her bridesmaids for some prep shots which were kind of un planned but Im so glad we did them.

Wendy has 4 beautiful daughters and Mark also has a gorgeous daughter, so the prep shots reflect a true family feel and being in amongst it felt like a bit of a privilege to be honest.

They all looked stunning and I left them at the house to catch up with Mark and his best man at the hotel for a few snaps before the ceremony.

The ceremony was perfect in the late Summer sunshine and the setting couldn't have been more perfect.

After the ceremony we got some nice relaxed group shots and some lovely shots of the bride and groom, making the most of the features in the garden, in particular the rusty bird cage.

I didn't stay for the evening but I had a great time shooting what I did.

Take a look at the pics below which give a lovely flavour of the day.

Thanks for having me shoot your day guys.
