A beautiful Autumn wedding, thats what everyone was hoping for and thats what everybody got, the sun shone and there was a crispness in the air. Perfect conditions for Kris and Steph to take the next step in their lives.
It was all the sisters for bridesmaids, Hannah, Emily and Ellie, and not forgetting best friend Becky as maid of honour, looking stunning in deep purple which gave a classic contrast to the brides gown.
Such a nice couple to work with, as were all the family and guests, I felt like a guest at times as opposed to working for the day.
Holne is a lovely venue with very helpful staff and the food is always delicious as well !
Set in the River Dart Country Park it offers a great deal of diverse opportunity for pictures from the river banks to strolling through the trees it is a great place to shoot a wedding.
After chicken pie and beef olive it was time for speeches and then a relaxed couple of hours before partying the night away to live music.
Take a look at this small selection of photos which give a flavour of the day.
Thanks for the warm welcome guys and good luck to you both.

As you may have noticed there were two weddings on the 30th. James is the brother of Georgi from the previous post and they shared their wedding day with their respective partners.
It was a bit different for me, darting between the two couples but it worked out fine.
Both couples shared the guests and all the entertainment and food etc... The major difference was that James and Jenny actually got married on the day in the lovely outdoor area at the castle.
Yet again the weather was kind to us and for the rest of the day as it happened, and this just added to the lovely ambience of the day.
You may see some pics the same as the post before as you read through but as I said the same guests were at both ceremonies and the day was shared for everyone as well as me.
Take a look at the pics to see how James and Jennys day panned out.
Thanks

As the Summer draws to an end I'm delighted to share this wedding with you from a few weeks back.
Georgi and Zac shared their day with Brother James and his fiancé Jenny, more on their day in the next post.
Bickleigh Castle turned out to be an inspired choice of venue, with bridal prep taking place in one of the muse cottages and then a short walk to the 16th century chapel for their blessing. Georgi and Zac had already gone through the formalities the week before at the registry office.
It was a short ceremony and then over to the lawns at the back of the castle for bubbles.
It was a typically British summer scene with families on picnic blankets, garden games in amongst the rose covered borders.
Down at the other end of the grounds there was the opportunity to get some shooting practise with the laser shooting. Few to many bubbles though I think as scoring was low to say the least !!
A hog roast awaited the guests late afternoon before partying the night away to finish the day, which included a legendary dance off.!
Hopefully the pics below will give you an idea of the day.
Thanks

A few weeks back I shot the wedding of the lovely Mathew and Amy, in Devon. The day started with Amy and her lovely bridesmaids and getting those all important prep shots. Luckily for me the lads were getting ready just down the road so I was able to split my time and get some shots of the guys getting ready, now all I'm going to say is, how many people does it take to do up a tie ?? Great effort lads.
The guests were treated to vintage transport to the ceremony venue in an old London bus. The ceremony was at the Haldon Belvedere or the Lemon Tower, which ever you prefer.
It was a lovely day weather wise and certainly one of the warmest days of the year, a cream tea was offered after the ceremony and myself and the bride and groom took the opportunity to go off and get some photos.
Then it was back to Torquay for the reception and wedding breakfast at the historic Spanish Barn in the grounds of the Torre Abbey.
More guests arrived for the evening and were treated to an American style barbecue which I have to say looked absolutely delicious.
Another great summer wedding and as usual I was made to feel so welcome so thank you for that Mat and Amy.
A selection of pics to give a flavour of the day.

A few weeks ago I headed back to the bay to shoot the wedding of Lisa and Andy.
I have known Lisa for a while but I hadn't met Andy until recently. I got to know them both better on their pre wedding shoot which is always a great way to break the ice with a couple. They get to know you and hopefully feel a lot easier with you on the big day.
After morning prep in the delightful Magnolia House is was down to Cockington Court for the ceremony. The ceremony was relaxed and full of smiles and laid the foundations for a wonderful afternoon and evening back at the house where the guests partied on the rooftop terrace thanks to a glorious summers evening.
The sun shone, the music played and everyone had a great time.
Again I was made to feel so welcome by all parties and I would just like to say thank you for that.
Until the next time...
