Gina and Tom. Tythe Barn, Bicester. 24th April 2016.
I haven't blogged anything for ages, so here we go. Its been so busy lately with a real mixed bag of work that there hasn't been much time to share some of it with you all.
A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Gina and Tom at the wonderful Tythe Barn in Bicester. What a wonderful venue this is to work at. The whole area is always immaculately presented and the staff are so helpful.
Gina and Tom were a delightful to work with and my brief was just to capture the day with as little formality as possible, which suits my style perfectly.
Gina looked stunning as did her gorgeous little daughter Isla who could have easily have stolen the show. Tom arrived in style at the wedding in his Mark 1 VW Golf GTI, which makes me feel very old as I can remember when they first appeared.
The day ran super smooth and included the excellent table carvers which is something I only see at the Barn, where a carver is designated from each table of guests and they cut the meat for the rest of the table, its a fun section of the day and always makes for a good photo.
A massive thanks to all the family members who made me feel very welcome, it makes my job so much easier.

Bike Heaven
After all the rubbish weather we have been enduring it made a refreshing change to get out on a glorious morning to shoot some bikes with the very talented custom bike builder, Kev Hills.
Kev is a lover of the cafe racer style bike as well as more regular looking machines as well.
We went down to Teignmouth in Devon to shoot these bad boys the other day.
All lighting was natural and I tried to draw in the coastal theme with some of the shots as well.

Neil and Emma. Edge moor Hotel, Devon.
A couple of weeks ago I shot my last wedding of the year in the delightful setting of the Edgemoor Hotel near Bovey Tracy in Devon.
It was a great day full of smiles and laughter and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves even though the weather was slightly typical English winter, windy and raining !!
However we managed to grab some bits and pieces outside in between the showers .
The ceremony was a highly charged affair full of tears, smiles and relief when it was all over.
Neil and Emma were a delightful company and I'm happy to share some pictures from their day.

Sara& James.
A couple of weeks ago I travelled back to the town where I grew up to shoot the wedding of James and Sara. After a very emotional service at the church of St Margarets in Corsley it was on to Bishopstrow House for the reception. After travelling up on Friday in the pouring rain and thunder storms forecast for the wedding day I was slightly worried about the weather so I packed a full studio just in case but as it turned out the weather was stunning on the day and gave the opportunity for some lovely moments in the grounds of the impressive Bishopstow House.
The bride went for a vintage theme and looked stunning in her bridal gown as did her man in full morning suit.
The day flowed well and I bagged a selection of prep, some beautiful bridal portraits and some lovely intimate shots with the newly weds.

Lydia and Ed. June 20th. Kingston Estate Devon.
A few weeks ago I shot the lovely wedding of Lydia and Ed at the wonderful Kingston Estate near Staverton in Devon. After a rather hit and miss start to the day weather wise it turned into a beautiful summers day and a typically British summers evening as well. Fun was on the agenda and there were laughs all day. Lydia wore a lovely lace gown with a super long train which for me was a great bonus for photography.
As is usual at Kingston the grounds were immaculately presented and leant themselves beautifully for some nice intimate shots with the bride and groom.
